Beauty & Wellness at Scale
Founded in Tel Aviv, Israel, Sabon has been a delivering a boutique skincare experience since 1997. Since then, they’ve grown internationally and have built a strong omni-channel brand with a dedicated consumer base. Sabon is known for using high quality, natural ingredients that combine luxury with the benefits of nature.
Sabon approached our studio with a need for multiple designs to function as holiday, permanent, and direct to consumer displays in retail. These designs needed to be flexible enough to scale in wide size variations and serve in multiple international markets.
A Moment for the Senses
Sabon’s presence internationally is growing, with plans to develop new activations in mixed retail spaces globally, as well as Ulta locations across the US. For Ulta, we developed a gondola display that champions the products, and also lights the moment with the fun patterns and unique brand cues that reinforce a sense of familiarity with the brand. Taking pride in the sensorial, this area opens up with a variety of beautiful scents as a by-product of their offerings, which are key features on display.
Additionally, Sabon had existing pop-up spaces in the Asia market, but wanted help with creating new experiential spaces in Shinjuku and Seoul. We worked to bring the magical look and feel of Sabon to these new locations, that also tell the story of the brand. Through the environmental branding, graphics, and displays, the storytelling aspect is a feeling, associated with a softness and whimsical generosity that isn’t typical for a retail space. No matter the size of the space, they want it to feel larger than life, unique, and as if you’re walking into a new world.
To breathe life into these new spaces, we incorporated select flowers and plants. Not only do they function as on-brand decor, but add extra soul to Sabon’s space to evoke senses, feelings, and connection.
