When Heritage & Innovation Meet Wellness

Farmatodo was inspired to develop a new Store of the Future and tapped Chute Gerdeman as a partner. As a family-owned business since 1918 the brand struggled to convey its deep-rooted values and mission in-store. Despite its commitment to holistic wellness, the retail experience lacked clear storytelling, personalized moments, and digital integration.

Missed opportunities included highlighting seasonal promotions, improving navigation, and reinforcing expertise in beauty and dermo-cosmetics. Farmatodo needed a more engaging and optimized store environment to better connect with customers and create an efficient customer journey.

The Farmatodo Store of the Future prototype is focused on three key strategies.

  1. Bringing the Brand Story to Life: To integrate their rich history into the store, we use visual storytelling—founder highlights, mission statements, and family focused language—to create an emotional connection with customers.
  2. Personalizing the Experience: Tailored promotions, relatable digital content, and the House of Wellness product storytelling concept enhances engagement. Innovations for this experience like comfortable waiting areas, community gathering spaces, and digital content strategy make shopping convenient and customer-focused.
  3. Creating a Seamless Ecosystem: Digital integration, improved store navigation, and expert-led educational resources bridge the physical and online experience. A mix of tech-driven and hands on services reinforce Farmatodo’s leadership in health and wellness. The Store of the Future prototype pairs this with sustainability pillars that apply to the principles of sustainable construction, and sustainability guidelines that the brand can uphold and carry over to their future experiences.
