It’s a Team Sport: Chuties Share Their Favorite Memories

Join us as we revisit some of our favorite memories over the years on the ASG-Chute Gerdeman team. For some, the travel has wowed them, whereas others enjoy the day-to-day studio hangouts. One thing is for sure though—our team had fun opening the memory bank to share their favorite experiences.

Laura Yoder – Designer, Brand Communications

“For me, my favorite CG memories always are within the studio. I love collaborative work time with the brand communications team, and the Wrangler project stands out to me as a favorite. I also love our fun vendor road trips and events!

Between our studio’s shared affection for pickles (minus a few of us), our yearly elf-on-a-shelf competition, and our ever-changing table talks, we’re always finding a way to stay close and entertained as a team.”

Brian Seitz – Partner, Design + Strategy

“I’ve never been a big ‘birthday’ guy. Even in my family growing up… we exchanged a few cards, went for a nice meal (your choice), and simply spent time together. Wonderful!

In 2022, I walked into the office on my birthday, only to find all my friends dressed in my favorite uniform. Khaki pants, button-down blue checked shirt, denim 2nd shirt (sometimes it snows in April), and Converse sneakers. Never in my life or career have I felt more like I “belonged.” In a few short months, this group made me realize we had built a team that cares, respects and enjoys each other’s company. I’m thankful for this team and inspired by each and every one every day.”

Michelle Headley – Account Manager

“One of my favorite CG-ASG team memories is our time and efforts with Children’s Hunger Alliance. It’s always nice doing something for others as a team and collective. It’s so wholesome, and we’re looking forward to it again this year.

I also love facilitating our Monday morning huddles as a full team, where we can all get together, chat, and share news and projects, and creatively prep for the week ahead. It makes a big difference, especially on a Monday!”

Richie Le – Senior Designer, Environments

“I’m currently in the middle of my favorite project to date, and I can’t wait for it to be a finished product for everyone to see. The entire design team and different disciplines are attached to this, and it’s making for amazingly creative work! Between the new concepts and collaborations, we’re all feeling stimulated and engaged.

When I look back at some of the best times, our studio happy hours always stand out as well. You know what I’m talking about, the ones that start at 5 p.m. and don’t end until 3 a.m..”

Olivia Mascia – Designer, Environments

“Working on the design team for our Sabon project was so much fun. I felt like the team began to spread our wings together and we had quite a few opportunities to visit vendors and check in on the progress of our designs. Overall, I loved the process of that project and that all of our work was hand drawn.

Additionally, one thing I’ll always remember is when our team celebrated the grand opening of Vow’d by drinking champagne, trying dresses on, and even posing as models!”

John Krivicich – Graphic Production Manager

“I had a blast on our trip to San Antonio as a team recently. We had great dinners, great company, and I felt like we really had a chance to get to know our client and vice versa. Hotel Emma, Cured At Pearl, and The Pearl District in general were all great sights to see and a memory I won’t forget anytime soon.”

Kali Robinson – Rothwell – Senior Designer, Brand Communications

“If I had to pick a project specific memory, it would have to be our LA trip last year with Egg N Bird. We must have eaten more fried chicken in that week than I’ve had in 10 years! It was a great way for us to get to know each other casually.

My favorite CG-ASG memories, however, are usually around team-building activities like softball and volleyball. It’s really good for us to get together, communicate, hang out, enjoy some drinks, and get some sun after a hard day or week at work. It keeps us close!”

Max Miller – Manager, Marketing + Brand Strategy

“When I think of all the amazing experiences I’ve had with the ASG-Chute Gerdeman Team (and there are a lot of them), I’d have to pick our recent trip down to Bogota as my favorite. We had a ball, and our clients were such amazing hosts while we were there. Between the collaboration, the sights and stores, and overall great hangs, it was a special week.

Aside from Bogota, I just want to shout out the studio for their support of my band and always making time to come to our shows. Those are some of my fondest memories of the team, when we’re all together jamming out and just enjoying the moment!”
